Ditto

Terms of use

Last updated October 18, 2026.

The license

Ditto is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add to it. Where they conflict, the Standard EULA applies.

Recording other people

Laws about recording conversations differ between countries and states; some require everyone’s consent. You are responsible for telling people you are recording and getting any consent the law requires. Don’t use Ditto to record anyone secretly.

Your content

Your recordings, transcripts and notes belong to you. We claim no rights to them. See the privacy policy for where they are processed.

Automatic results can be wrong

Transcripts, speaker labels, voice matches, notes and answers are produced automatically and can contain mistakes. Check anything important against the recording before relying on it, especially for legal, medical or financial matters.

Cloud features

Cloud features depend on third-party services (a speech-to-text provider, a language-model provider and Cloudflare) and need an internet connection. We work to keep them available but can’t guarantee they always are. We may change the cloud providers or models used, as long as the privacy policy stays accurate.

Cloud notes, Ask and speaker name suggestions are included for normal personal use, with a daily fair-use limit far above what meetings need; if you reach it, they work again the next day (UTC). We may limit, slow or suspend cloud features for an account whose use is automated, abusive or far beyond normal use.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Ditto to break the law, to record people without their consent where consent is required, or to try to reverse engineer, overload or get around the limits of our server.

No warranty

Ditto is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those in the Standard EULA and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost recordings. Keep backups of recordings that matter.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the last change; continuing to use Ditto after a change means you accept it.
